TuneStem lets you paste the public link to an individual Suno song and separate it into vocals and instrumental. You can also upload an MP3 or WAV audio file from your device, then preview and download the track you need. Suno’s built-in stem tools are a separate option for eligible Suno accounts.
This guide covers vocal and instrumental outputs. If you need separate drums, bass, or other instrument parts, compare a vocal remover with a stem splitter.
Check Suno’s built-in option first
If you can already extract stems in Suno, you may be able to complete the task there. Suno’s official stem guide currently lists Get Stems for Pro and Premier subscribers.
In your Library or Workspace, open the song’s More Actions (…) menu and choose Get Stems. For a vocal-and-backing pair, choose Split from Mix, select the vocal, and choose Extract. Check the access requirements and any charge shown before extraction.
Separate a Suno song with TuneStem
TuneStem provides two ways to start separation: upload an audio file or paste a public Suno song link. Both inputs are processed by TuneStem and produce a vocal track and an instrumental track.
Have the audio file? Upload it.
Choose Upload audio on the TuneStem homepage and select an MP3 or WAV file from your device. Confirm it is the version you want, then start separation.
Paste a public Suno song link in TuneStem.
Copy the public link to an individual Suno song, choose Paste Suno URL in TuneStem, and paste the link. TuneStem imports the song audio and separates it into vocals and instrumental. Use a song link, not a playlist or profile URL.
Choose the output for your next step
- Choose the output.Select instrumental to keep the backing music, or vocals to keep the singing.
- Listen before saving.Preview the chosen track on its own. Check a verse and chorus for leftover sounds or missing musical detail; use the synchronized preview to compare the two outputs if needed.
- Download what you need.Save the chosen track, or save both outputs if you need both. Open the downloaded file in your player to check that it is the right track and plays correctly.
Separation quality depends on the source mix. Some vocals, reverb, or instruments may remain in the other track; listen to the result before using it in your project.
Use songs you own or have permission to process. A public link does not grant reuse rights.
